Adult Bible Classes - Summer 2010
Sunday Morning - 9:30 AM
The Pursuit of Holiness: a Study of the Book of Leviticus. For most people this Old Testament book written by Moses can be obscure and seems irrelevant. As we go through the study students will discover that without it New Testament concepts like atonement, redemption, and holiness come alive as never before.
Wednesday Evening - 7:00 PM
The Book of Romans is one of the most important books in the New Testament. Some theologians call it the magnum opus of the Apostle Paul. Certainly it is his longest. In it he gives his most complete treatment of the doctrine of justification by faith. The class will cover the material in order to make his teachings relevant to our lives today.
Children's Bible Classes - Fall 2010
Sunday Morning - 9:30 AM
We offer classes for children of all ages beginning with a cradle roll class for children under two. This gets the children off to an early education about God (mostly through songs and games). Over a period of several years and at different levels of education the children learn about the Bible, the doctrines relevant to the Christian faith, and the teachings consistent with a life of moral and ethical behavior.
Pre-School, ages 3-4: Elijah; Daniel and His Friends.
Pre-Kindergarten, ages 5-6: Elijah; Daniel and His Friends.
Early Elementary, grades 1-2: What God Wants; Do What is Right.
Pre-Teen, Grades 5-6: Authority; Conflict; Fears; Be the Best You Can Be.Wednesday Night - 7 PM
Combined Ages: Our Heavenly Father; Our Human Family; Spiritual Growth.
Sermon Topics, Sunday Worship Service - 10:30 AM - Fall 2010
The focus of the pulpit lessons for September - November, 2010 will continue covering the teachings of Christ in the Gospel of Luke. We have seen how Jesus addresses our attidute toward and use of money. As we continue through Luke, we'll see some interesting people: a persistent widow, a common Publican who knew how to pray, and a tax collector who reformed his cheating ways. We'll also learn see Jesus' confrontation with the leaders of Jerusalem, learn about the coming Kingdom of God, and hear his warnings about when the end of time will occur.
